Wood Worm Pattern Serving Spoon in Ash
Wood Worm Pattern Serving Spoon in Ash
The intricate pattern caused by burrowing woodworm is a lovely sight. In this case, found on a piece of ash that I foraged from the ground. Upon spotting the pattern, I peeled back the bark to discover that they had only penetrated the top layer of the wood, leaving behind a gorgeous texture. The spoon flows from an under-cut generous bowl to a ribbon like handle. Measures approximately 22cm in length and 7cm in width (bowl). Hand carved in ash and treated with linseed oil.
