Maple 'Harvest' Vessel With Urushi

A hand carved drinking vessel from maple.

Made freehand, using analogue hand tools using green wood carving techniques. 

Lacquered with suki kurome urushi using fuki urushi methods. 

The wood has a lovely grain and subtle medullary rays creating a wonderful pattern

This product has been heat tested with boiling water, then left to cool twice and has passed.
