Small Black Walnut 'Harvest' Drinking Vessel With Urushi

A hand carved drinking vessel from black walnut.

Made freehand, using analogue hand tools using green wood carving techniques. 

Lacquered with Tosuguro urushi using fuki urushi methods. 

The wood grain is lovely in this piece and shows how slowly this tree grew with the amount of growth rings. The size of this piece would be great for expresso or spirits

This product has been heat tested with boiling water, then left to cool twice and has passed.
