Small Walnut 'Harvest' Drinking Vessel With Black Urushi

A hand carved drinking vessel from walnut.

Made freehand, using analogue hand tools using green wood carving techniques. 

Lacquered with pigmented urushi using fuki urushi methods. 

This is one of my favourite vessels, the scale and feel is so close to the apples of which the harvest vessels are inspired. 

This product has been heat tested with boiling water, then left to cool twice and has passed. 

Volume: 83ml
